Emily talks about her beads

I wanted to post a new video to the Blog, it's been a long time since we have done that. You can see from the video how great she is feeling these days.

Today she had her weekly labs drawn, and the results were in line with what we expected. She will remain on %100 dosage of Chemo. Her platelets were also high enough for her to go skiing this weekend ! She's going to do a half day lesson and then hopefully ski with me the second half of the day. I intend to get video of that too, at least some pictures.

Dear Emily -
It's so good to see you on your video and to see how many Beads of Courage you now have. I have known about the program since the beginning, but I haven't checked how many you have for quite a while. Way to go, sweetie. You explained it very well.
Can't wait to see you and Haley and your mom and dad when you drive home from the snow on Sunday. Love you bunches.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a one-minute video at around 30 frames per second, is well, I don't even know how many words, because I need a calculator. Anyway, it was really great to see Emily's video. I was really quite surprised when you panned to the necklaces to see how many beads she had earned!

I hope you have a wonderful ski weekend!

Lots of love,

Leah

Emily,
You have made my day. I loved the video. What a wonderful program for children and what a brave girl you are. Your hair looks so cute. I hope you have a great weekend and look forward to hearing how your ski lesson goes. I think you and your dad will have the best time ever. Have a wonderful time.

Emily, you are so very brave. That is a lot of beads. I hope it won't be long before the only beads you need to get for courage are for skiing down the steepest ski runs, hang gliding, diving from high diving boards, your first day of high school, and fun things like that.

Aloha you guys! Lauren here. I just wanted to say thank you so much for posting that video of Emily! She sounds fantastic! I say that because since I can't see very well, that video was doubly special for me because I got to hear what Emily sounds like. I really enjoyed the video! Emily is so sweet and very courageous. She definitely brought a smile to my face tonight. Listening to that video meant a lot to me.
Thank you again.
I hope you guys have fun skiing! You guys deserve it!

Also, I was just wondering if you got my e-mail asking if it would be okay for me to send some Disney songs for Emily to listen to via e-mail? I want to do something special and fun for her.
I hope to hear from you soon, but take your time!
I'll def be praying for Emily and your trip this weekend.
Your new friend, Lauren
